Here is a fun festive recipe for you to make for your next holiday party. If you're looking for something tasty and entertaining, this is the perfect recipe to make. This appetizer is going to put a big smile on everyone's face and that's even before they've eaten it! Treat your next party to this delicious winter time favorite of mine.
- 16 oz. Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, grated
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- Celery, clove, pumpernickel slice, black olives, and carrot
In a food processor, combine cream cheese (setting aside one spoonful for hat), 1/2 cup Monterey Jack, garlic, and salt and pepper to taste. Freeze until firm, 30 minutes.
Once firm, shape mixture into 3 balls; roll balls in remaining Monterey Jack. Freeze until firm, about 1 hour.
Just before serving, assemble the body; stack balls and secure with toothpicks. Use a vegetable peeler to shave a celery scarf and pin with a piece of clove. Cut bread into 1- and 1 1/2-inch rounds; glue hat together with cream cheese, then secure with toothpick. Punch dots from olives with plain round pastry tips for buttons and eyes, and cut end off carrot for the nose; press in place. Serve with crackers.
Enjoy my Red Hatters!
