Spooky Haunted Forest Candy Centerpiece4 Monday, October 18, 2010

Create these cute and delicious looking centerpieces for your next Red Hat Society gathering during the month of October for some festive cheer! We love how easy and adorable these little Halloween inspired centerpieces really are.

What you'll need:

- Black licorice
- heavy-gauge Wire
- Graham Crackers
- Chocolate Frosting
- Candy Corn
- Candy or Artificial Pumpkins

Directions:

Begin by Snipping off the ends of six pieces of black licorice and pushing heavy-gauge wire through the holes of each piece. Holding the pieces together in the middle, bend the ends to form a tree trunk. Bend the opposite ends to form gnarled tree branches and wrap black wire around the center of the pieces to hold it all together. Repeat for each tree. Place each tree atop a chocolate-frosted graham cracker, add a candy-corn fence, and arrange mini artificial pumpkins under the trees to complete this mini haunted landscape. Make as many centerpieces as you'd like, the more the spookier! Have fun. (Recipe found at Parents.com)
